Big announcement! Dhanush’s ‘Maaran’ to premiere directly on OTT
Directed by Karthick Naren and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, Dhanush’s upcoming film ‘Maaran’ will now be premiered directly on OTT. The moviemakers on January 13 made the official announcement. In the statement, they also added that the fans will have a special treat on January 14 as the motion poster of ‘Maaran’ will be released. The official statement from the movie makers states that the movie is gearing up for a direct OTT premiere and it will be released in February 2022. Here is the official announcement!

Fans and critics have been looking forward to a glimpse from the movie and this latest announcement from the moviemakers has given a sense of excitement over the film. ‘Maaran’ is one of the most-awaited films of 2022 as it features the two-time National Award winner Dhanush. As per reports, Dhanush will be playing the role of a journalist and the female lead played by Malavika Mohanan will play the role of a photojournalist.
The music for the movie is composed by GV Prakash Kumar and the audiences are waiting to listen to the background score as the music director and actor combo has always been a massive hit. GV Prakash has composed a number of Dhanush’s films namely ‘Polladhavan’ and ‘Asuran’. Just a couple of days ago, GV Prakash revealed that the film, on the whole, will have four tracks including the theme song. Also, Dhanush has joined hands with ‘Enjoy Enjaami’ fame Therukural Arivu for his opening number in the film. Reportedly, Arivu will be providing the rap for the song.
